What every product sells, by EAN.
LMV estimates the monthly market sales of every product, by EAN and variant, marketplaces included. It is the number behind every ranking in Landscaipe.
Weighted by what the market sells. Not by what you already sell.
Your own sales only describe what you already have. A product can sell little precisely because its price is wrong, or because nobody finds it.
Market panels see retail only. No marketplaces, no EANs, no variants. Only the top models.
LMV sees the whole market, product by product.
| Your sales | Panels | LMV | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Products you don't sell yet | No | Top models | Yes |
| Marketplace sales | No | No | Yes |
| Every EAN and variant | Yours only | No | Yes |
| The long tail | Yours only | No | Yes |

Questions
What does LMV stand for?
Landscaipe Market Value: the estimated value of what a product sells each month across the market, by EAN.
How is LMV estimated?
We combine marketplace sales signals with how each product is listed across more than 800,000 websites, then estimate monthly sales for every EAN that sells.
Does LMV include marketplaces?
Yes. Marketplaces are where much of the long tail sells, so LMV includes them.
Can I see LMV by variant?
Yes. LMV is calculated per EAN, so each colour, size or storage option gets its own value.
How is LMV different from market panel data?
Panels report retail sales at model level, mostly for top-selling models, without EANs or marketplaces. LMV covers every EAN that sells, marketplaces included.
